Clear mascara recommendations

I'm on the hunt for a relatively inexpensive clear mascara. I tint my eyelashes - thanks to the MN boards for the guidance on DIY tinting (saved me a fortune), and want a clear mascara for everyday use.

I've found a recommendation for Clarins doublewear, but it's a bit spendy. Tips for less pricey options very welcome, thanks

In my opinion clear mascara isn't worth spending anything significant on. I buy the Miss Sporty one which costs a couple of quid, admittedly I only use it to keep my eyebrows in place.

The Collection is fine and about 3 quid.

Good old vaseline??

I really wouldn't bother with clear mascara. Even if you tint your lashes a good black mascara will add volume and definition while the tint will make them appear even longer from the root.

I've never seen the point of clear mascara for your lashes. Like a PP i do use it for my eyebrows.

If you tint them anyway then a quick once over with eyelash curlers would do, wouldn't it?

Thank you Smile I've bought some cheapy stuff from Boots No 17 with a good curved wand. I'll definitely have a go at using my eyelash curlers again - I'm afraid I'm pathetically scared of them.

I love the stuff - got mine from the Bodyshop.

I use it before mascara to separate my eye lashes and on days that I don't wear any make-up just for a bit of definition. Great for keeping the eyebrows in shape too.
