Oh dear. I am looking for some black heeled boots to wear with wrap dresses (can't do ankle boots, I look silly h and I seem to have fallen in love with these duo boots. However they are way too expensive as I am also trying to buy a few new items of clothing I need after dd was born in the summer.

Has anyone come across anything similar but not so £££ ?

I think you'll have a hard time finding a decent pair of tall boots for under that price. You'll wear them lots, I bet. Purple is almost a neutral in my world.

BitchyFestiveFace · 10/01/2014 23:50

Imagine the boost to your ego every time (and there will be many times) someone gasps in envy and asks where you got them...you can't put a price on that....

cerealqueen · 11/01/2014 00:20

It's the colour... they are lovely. Cost per wear, am sure you can justify it.
You should only wear things you feel amazing in.

PoshPaula · 11/01/2014 23:07

I think we are all in agreement.

Hey did you watch that episode of Big Bang Theory where Penny buys shoes, says she'll need to rent her womb out to a gay couple and the shoes TALK to her
"No don't take us back you look so good in us"

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 11/01/2014 23:20

Sigh. DH once bought me a pair of Loboutin boots that looked like that for Christmas. I couldn't get them zipped all the way up :(

LEMoncehadacatcalledSANTA · 11/01/2014 23:24

oh, those boots are lush, i couldnt have them because they are too £££ and i can't wear heels - but omg they are beautiful - however, WTAF is tht person modelling them doing? They look like they have bloody rickets FFS! its not a great sell

LEMoncehadacatcalledSANTA · 11/01/2014 23:31

Why did i look on that website - have spent my xmas money now and those boots are making me drool :)

Look, OP, if you have the money to buy them, then buy them - you'll regret it if you don't. I buy my clothes from the charity shops, im pretty skint - the only thing i'll spend £££ on is boots - i buy a pair every two years or so, i was going to buy boots this year but wanted a decent pair of walking shoes so spent my money on those instead - but i really really REALLY want a pair of boots. Sigh.........maybe next year.

Buy them.......go on

LEMoncehadacatcalledSANTA · 11/01/2014 23:34

and to be honest, yes £160 is a lot of money, but is it a lot of money for boots? a decent pair of boots is going to be at least that. If its something you are going to only wear a few times then its too much but if you are going to wear them lots and they last you years then its an investment. PS: they have to be comfortable though

Apatite1 · 12/01/2014 01:16

Duo boots are lovely. The flat pair would be mine but they ran out of my size.

shelley72 · 12/01/2014 07:29

Hmm. Still here.

Still lusting and wondering whether I can justify it - I also need 'sensible' boots for school run as mine now leaking Shock. I do wish for a previous life when I could spend without too much angst. This is the worst bit of being a sahm for me - not being paid!

I liked the boots from dune as well tethers but they've all sold out. Have measured up for duo though and decided I'm quite fat.

Usually detest Duo styles but they are divine. No help, sorry. Just buy them and live on gruel for a few weeks Grin

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 12/01/2014 09:58

Ooh, they are so beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen such beautiful boots. I want them. Wish I hadn't looked either...
