Grey suede ankle boots

Ok, more of an 'anthracite' colour, like those Isabel Marant thingies. I really wanted black so that they would work well with opaque tights, but can't seem to find any in this style that I like.

Would very very very dark grey work with my opaques, do you think?

Or would I look like I had been wading through dust?

Not sure I could afford Marant, but do have a bunch of commission payments due to roll in come March, so am tempted (dear god!).

I think that grey can be worn with black tights but if your legs are on the short side the black would be better.

Sorry, am butting in but I've been wondering about the grey boots + opaque a thing too. I've got some grey suede boots which I LOVE but I'm wearing lots of dresses/skirts with black opaques at the moment so I'm just not sure if they go. I'm on the short side too...

The boots are Whistles Kir Royale from last winter - not sure if they still sell them.

Hate to say it but boden spring catalogue have some gorgeous grey suede boots, I am lusting after them

Ash "Jalousie" come in black and "wood ash" which is grey. They are very similar..
