Any matte red lipstick recommendations? (Not ruby woo)

I am on the hunt for a daytime red lipstick that is quite matte (def not gloss). Love Mac's ruby woo but too drying. Also have Mac's viva glam I which I love for evening. Would like something a bit lighter than viva glam....any recommendations?!

If it helps, I have black hair and olive skin and my lips are already quite pigmented.

Help me find my perfect daytime red lipstick...go!

I love Dior Le Grand Bal in Diva or Lipstick Queen Deep Red Sinner.

Try Nars Velvet Matte lip pencil. I have Red square which is an orange red, but there are others. Really easy to apply and not too drying, lasts me most of the dy and seems to wear evenly too

I like Soap and Glory Fabulipstick in colour Pom Pom its has a berry tone to it perfect for this time of year I think

Have you tried Mac Russian Red? Or Kate moss for rimmel 01, which is exactly the same. I have Nars velvet matte lip pencil in Cruella which is amazing, matte but so soft and light.

Rimmel Kate Moss in 107. The perfect deeper berry red for day time wear and matte.

Yes KM 107 is gorgeous. I love Mac Diva too, very dark red.

But not as dark as Viva Glam 1.

I actually got a really nice dark red with silver glitter in from a brand called w7. I've only seen this brand on make up market stalls in various places but i really rate them. Also have an excellent blusher from them. Cheap too.
Also got a really nice red from seventeen called rule breaker, it comes out quite maroon on me.

I tried rimmel 107 but it came out pink on me...

Don't know if they still do it but I have a Chanel red lip quad (my lovely, lovely parents bought at dutyfree for me) one is matte, satin, iridescent, and gloss. I've found they all have great staying power without being drying and you can layer for more intense/sheer colour. I'm mixed race med so it suits my colouring (the reds are a 'blue' red iykwim)

Rimmel 111, kiss of life, is a fab matte red.

I adore viva glam too! I am a toothy pale skinned brunette with generous lips and I thought I would never find a nice red- it's absolutely perfect for me. I am taking notes on the ones above too.

Ooh Nars Velvet Matte in Dragon Girl is lovely too.

Agree Kate Moss for Rimmel is best. No7 (?cherry?) actually ok - bit drying and use a lip brush but good red.

maybelline non stop red. applying a little gives a gorgeous just enhanced lips look, applying really intensly gives amazing evening look. blue toned.
