Nail tips are where you have a tip added to your nail to extend the length, usually blended onto the nail, with acrylic or gel layer on top. Gel are meant to be less damaging for your nails, but tbh, i think both will weaken your natural nail in time. You can have a gel overlay on natural nails, either clear or a colour, which strengthens your nail (whilst it is on IUSWIM) without the tips, which is a less harmful option. Not sure what you mean by the fillers, but whatever you have done the nail will grow, and leave a gap at the bottom, which needs 'filling' with acrylic every couple of weeks, and eventually replacing completely. Not a cheap option, as you have to factor in the cost of maintenance as well as the original application cost.
