I'm going shopping at themselves. Have saved up and been given money for birthday/Xmas which I haven't spent as was keeping it for this trip.

I'm after a completely new wardrobe I will be charity shopping a lot if my old stuff.

I'm only in my thirties so not ready for the tweed or "blouse and broach" look just yet :o

I'm a 14-16 with large bum and thighs and will be getting new bras too but am fairly flat chested so massive plunge neck lines would probably gape. Leggins and skinny jeans are a no no as I'm too fat they would just make me look short and dumpy. I'm 5ft 7 if that helps but I don't have very long legs.

So if anyone feels up to the challenge I'd appreciate a few links or some advice of what style jeans would work best etc

TIA

Oh ffs damn iPhone. WEEKEND (themselves???) now that's a typo .

You can do skinny jeans. Pepperberry is nice for larger clothes.

I'm sure someone is better than me at this. Hennes Big is Beautiful range. I'd also do nice swishy tops with the drape (see Hennes new stuff I saw it yesterday).

oh maybe boot cut are better option for you. scarves I've heard can be draped - Becksondergaard??

maybe a bit of a heel for boots to give you height etc? not too high. Ash boots?

MadBusLady · 08/01/2014 10:17

There's skinny and skinny. Oasis Cherry jeans are I think technically a slim straight cut but look skinny on me without being sausage-like. Or Uniqlo do a great (though bewildering) range of cuts if you have one - I think the ones you'd want to try are the Skinny Fit Straight and the Regular Fit Straight.

People will be along to recommend the M&S jeggings shortly, ignore these people, I have a big bum and thighs too and they made me look like a parsnip Grin

OTOH, are jeans definitely going to be your staple? I find skirts and opaque tight just as practical if worn with flat boots, and more forgiving on thighs.

Wow you were right about the pepperberry!!

There's done lovely stuff!!

I live in jeans. Sadly however they rarely fit right. Boot cut or boyfriend are my usual choices. Always find the trail along floor unless I wear heeled boots though. High waisted make my butt look even bigger.

Yy about the parsnip :o

if you're near Bravissimo they stock Pepperberry (kill 2 birds with 1 stone bras sorted too).

also OP many people say dresses (relaxed ones jersey ish) maybe Fat Face, White Stuff etc.

but need to try on. that could be a change can wear over leggings etc.

Well if my bra measuring turns out I be a revelation and I somehow miraculously exonerated a d cup I will be getting some from there. I really live the striped tunic and most the tops too so will definately be checking out the shop!!

I think JL do white stuff don't they? And at face, well I think there's a store in the shopping centre so can check that out too
