Dark red lipstick-help!

I'm looking for a very dark red lipstick with no hint of purple. Something like the Chanel nail varnish colour Rouge Noir would be perfect.

Can't spend over £10 and must be available at boots/superdrug! Thank you

Body shop do a nice deep red (no.125) I think, but may not be deep enough. Otherwise Revlon Black Cherry is very gothy (put maybe too purple). Sleek (in Superdrug) have some darker shades too. You could always darken existing red lippy by colouring entire lip in with a dark brown lip liner? (Should cancel out any purplyness?)

Collection 2000 in Prohibition is quite dark.

I bought Collection Prohibition, it's nice but pinky.

I bought (and I'm reallly pleased because I've been searching for the 'perfect' red for me. I don't suit pillar-box red)

It has a snazzy click case. It's dense and not gloopy.
Tiny dab of gloss to lift it.

Sleek lipstick in Russian Roulette. Available at Superdrug. Very dark but not like MAC Russian Red like the name might suggest, it's a warm red not cool/purple-based.

Berry Queen by Rimmel- but you will have to ebay it as they don't stock it anymore.

You're kinda sorta putting a lot of restrictions on a colour that few people are brave enough to wear (so it's hard to find).

I'd say Revlon Black Cherry too because you can get that at boots. You can always redden it up with a more firey lipliner underneath.

If you have a Topshop that does makeup near you, Beguiled lipstick is what you're looking for. They do a few black/reds but that seems to be the reddiest red.

Can you not order online?

Have a look for Clinique black honey gift set in boots, it's a set with nail polish, mascara and a lip gloss and a sheer lip stick in a fabulous dark red but sheer colour. It's about £15 for the set in the sale
