Arghhhhh.
First day of New Years Resolution to wear my nice clothes more often and not wear jeans every day - I'm about to give up!
I had forgotten the horror of itchy tights.

Early I had to shout 'Oh, my ARSE' out loud (at home!) DD heard and copied, luckily quick thinking saved the day so she is now wandering around shouting 'Oh, my ARMS'.

This cannot go on!

Wolford? never found them itchy and I wear them most days.

jammietart · 07/01/2014 17:13

or fall down. important to get the size right though

Primark 100 denier opaques are soft and lovely (and cheap).

Shock Jamie - just looked at the wolford website, those are some pricey tights! Also quite disturbed at all the long-legged lasses wearing tights and no knickers, DH would like the website very much!

Look for ones that are mostly cotton but with a decent amount of lycra. I found cotton best. M&S do some.

I've only recently discovered primark tights. My expectations were not high. It turns out they're the best tights I've had in years. They're 100 denier microfibre.

principalitygirl · 07/01/2014 17:27

tightsplease is a good online retailer.

Weelady77 · 07/01/2014 18:14

Another vote for primark I hate tights but can wear theirs Smile

MadBusLady · 07/01/2014 18:20

John Lewis own brand ones are the only thing I find totally comfortable.

Have one pair of Wolford, didn't rate them at all, they're a bit low-rise and cut my muffin top tummy in half.

smellylittleorange · 07/01/2014 18:20

Another vote here for the M and S cotton ones AND they hold their shape so do not fall down

Chopsypie · 07/01/2014 18:32

Try hand washing them with shampoo.

M&S climate control ones are my favourite. Just the right amount of stretch/sheen too.

Falke 100 denier opaques, they last for ages, don't ladder & they don't itch!! And they make your legs look fab...

Hipstik tights are the softest tights I've ever felt. So soft. My sister who was pregnant last year even wore them on the day she gave birth!! They were THAT comfortable. The waistband is super stretchy and stays up. It's like a miracle for tights.

DIM tights. I buy from French supermarkets.
