Nail rocks glitter!!

Do not 'do' nails
Occasional shellac is as far as I go
Anyway was given some nail rocks glitter nails from top shop for Christmas and thought I'd give it a go
It's navy and looks gorgeous but already seems to not be staying put- it doesn't mention top coat so assume not needed, but the glitter isn't sticking v well 2 hours later, if I topcoat the MATT effect is lost, what am I doing wrong? other than trying myself rather than finding an expert...

Have you put a base coat on and two layers of the colour? It sounds like a lovely colour, I can't imagine a glitter matte polish but I'm going through a bit of a navy nail varnish thing myself! Sorry that's not useful. I think you can get matte top coat, but again that's extra cost. It might just be one of those ones that you put on before a special occasion and you know will be ruined by morning!
