concealer - over foundation or under?

I used to have lovely clear skin but late nights over Christmas have led to a few spots on my chin.

I have bought a concealer but I am unsure whether to wear it over my foundation or under? :) What do you do?

I put a little on over foundation. If it's under you end up with either too much or you wipe it off when blending the foundation.

It depends on the type of concealer and foundation. For example a cream concealer but a powder foundation I'd put concealer on first, then foundation. However for a cream/liquid foundation and a cream concealer I'd put the foundation on first, then the concealer and set with a powder.

Over.

Over. Always over.

Depends on the textures of both. A very liquid concealer is best put on after (or the foundation will just wipe it off). A very thick one best put on before. I use a thick cream concealer, and put it on first before mineral powder foundation. If necessary, I sometimes top it up after foundation and before facer powder.

For chin spots I think you'll need to add it after, because you'll be wanting heavier coverage.

I put a liquid under eye one under, cream one over for a heavier coverage, and blend as one with my egg sponge.

Always over.

Over

Thanks :) I've been putting it over and I have to say, it's really made a difference. I always thought foundation alone would cover blemishes but it doesn't!
