I need inspiration! Grin

OP posts:
cloudskitchen · 05/01/2014 17:57

My first one is to shift my Christmas poundage so my clothes actually feel nice on me again.

My second is inspired by a post on the Does my bum look 40 in this where she is setting herself a limit of purchasing 3 items a month. If you don't use it you can't carry it over etc. I like the idea but setting my limit at 2 so I think more carefully at what I actually want or need and buy better quality.

That's it so far. Watching with interest...

TallulahBetty · 05/01/2014 17:58

Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.
Get my trichotillomania under control once and for all.
Get to target at Slimming World.
And use the makeup I've actually got (including learning how to use it!!) rather than keep buying new stuff.

LetMeAtTheWine · 05/01/2014 18:51

Mine are the usual...
Lose weight, get fit, cut down drinking, become more organised etc etc. I am also not going to gossip this year as I recently realised I have a mouth like a foghorn Sad

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/01/2014 18:52

Lose winter podge.

Slather myself in body lotion everyday.

LetMeAtTheWine · 05/01/2014 18:55

Just realised you asked for S&B (makes sense on S&B board...Wink) so the first ones I mentioned andthe more organised thing includes getting up in time to make an effort with appearance. 'Getting organised' is really a cover-all for everything I dislike about myself!

ShreddedHoops · 05/01/2014 19:40

Wash my face every night before bed - I have great products and a great morning routine but too often I fall into bed with makeup on Blush

Have regular haircuts (have long hair but it just looks so much better with trims)

Maybe to keep my leg hair in check even when it's not summer

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/01/2014 20:49

Shift the middle poundage

Get some good jeans that fit, not my Tesco £10 bootcuts that are all baggy round my bum and need a belt.

Not to buy loads of shampoo, shower gels, face creams that sit on the shelf.
Today I bought some Superdrug Radiance Serum and Day Cream and that was it.

No more products until I've used these up.

Don't buy Primark jumpers (they look nice but they stretch now matter how carefully I wash them)

Haircuts and hairdye - not to get lazy and have grey rooted witchy hair Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 05/01/2014 21:21

Wait until summer sales to buy holiday clothes.
Buy less items but good quality stuff.
Continue going to the gym and not put on the weight I lost 2yrs ago.
Whiten teeth.
Try Botox as long as I don't spend my money on clothes, that or grow a fringe

BriocheBriocheBrioche · 05/01/2014 21:27

The usual...
Drink more water
Moisturise more
Take better care of my skin
Buy less but buy better.

Also need to face my fear of the dentist as I've not been for years and don't want to end up with a mouth full of very expensive false teeth.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/01/2014 21:43

I'm having a no-spend rest of this month, unless I see a 'perfect' pair of black boots, or something 'also perfect' in a charity shop! No new clothes or products (other than replacing non 'posh' essentials like soap etc).

Use handcream - lots and lots of handcream!

Wear mascara, instead of being too lazy to bother.

FrancesFarmer · 05/01/2014 21:46

More exercise, less sugar.
Plan outfits ahead of time rather than grabbing whatever is at hand.
Wear a blouse/skirt combo more often - I have loads of these but tend not to wear them.
Don't be lazy about getting dry cleaning done.
Declutter wardrobe.
Stop buying shoes (unless I find a truly amazing pair).
Learn more about perfume and acquire some unusual ones.
Stop messing with hair - I love pulling out split ends but it's ruining my hair.

Ruprekt · 05/01/2014 21:52

I am not buying any clothes til Easter.

I have plenty of things to wear for work.

Lovely accessories.....scarves and necklaces.

Am starting on the low carb thread tomorrow and will lose a stone by Easter.

Am drinking 3 litres water a day.

Getting up earlier to make more of an effort.

INeedSomeHelp · 05/01/2014 21:58

Take my make up off properly every night - not just eye make up

Accessorise my outfits properly so I actually use all the lovely necklaces and scarves I've got

Continue my boot camp sessions 3 times per week

giraffesCantSledge · 05/01/2014 22:01

Stop going to work with wet hair and no make up!

When I see people from work when I am dressed up to go out then they are always so shocked at how different I look!

Laska42 · 05/01/2014 22:34

Lots more water ,
Get back into 5:2 as from tomorrow (had lost 24 lbs on it over the last year but have put 7 of those back on Sad ). I want to get back to 10st - and maybe less
Restart the couch to 5k, yoga stretches and Shred

Facial exercise every day (oh, and pelvic floor !)

Exfoliate, epilate and body brush (weekly) and Moisturised daily, and use foot and hand cream - but I have been doing this pretty regularly so far this winter after advice here and and its amazing the difference in what my legs especially are usually like this time of year ,(even though they are as white as snow now..Smile)

Also to use up all the serums and moisturiser products i've bought recently up before I buy any more new.

Keep getting eyebrows shaped and eyelashes dyed (doing this after recommendations here has made such a difference)

BUT mainly NOT keep falling for all the tempting recommendations on here and BUYING everything in sight!! I just cant afford it , but have now discovered so many new fashion outlets and products id never tried before .. (oh S&B, what have you done to me ?)

GeorginaWorsley · 05/01/2014 22:57
