Wedding outfit advice

My brother is getting married at the end of February and I have no idea what to wear.
The ceremony and the reception are both in a local hotel but the ceremony itself will be very small and I've no idea what their plans for afterwards are but it will probably also be small (as in not many people).
I have the idea that I'd quite like a dress of some kind but I'm at a loss as to where to start.
I'm 5'4" and a size 8.
Thanks Grin

Do you have a colour or shape that suit you best / feel most comfortable in?

What are your best features and which bits do you prefer to hide away?

What is your budget?

I don't suit lilac at all. And I don't fancy red.
My figure is not too bad but don't want anything too fitted across my tummy as I am quite conscious of it. (Although dh tells me I don't need to be!)
My budget probably not too high as I don't think it will be something I'd wear again (don't get out much!)
Not much to go on I know.

Just realised saying "not too high" is not very helpful in terms of budget as its all relative! no more than £100 preferably

Thank you. I've just been on asos and just added lots to my basket (free returns!)
I think I just need to sit with a glass of wine, trawl the Internet and see what grabs my attention.
I hate shopping so ordering stuff to try on at home is ideal for me Smile
