Straighteners have given up!

They weren't very good anyway, mark hill raw ones.
I need to replace them and was wondering if GHD's are still the best? I've never had them as Icant afford them, but I have started a new job and will be able to treat myself at the end of jan.

I have extremely thick hair which is also white blonde ie damaged too so need something to tame this that can cope with the thickness!

If ghd are the best, where is best to get them from? The internet or the salon in town which claims 'best price in Bristol' haha!

I want straighteners that will last, and not pull or damage my hair and I can't spend more than around £100 which is still loads! Also have seen people curl with straighteners which would be handy...

Any pointers or experiences will be gratefully received!

Go for Corioliss c2 for sure.

Have always been far better than GHD

Yea, those are the ones

Lookfantastic had GHDs reduced to £80. Not had any apart from them so can't compare I'm afraid.

I have long, thick and unruly hair. Bought some Remington straighteners in Argos just before Xmas and they are amazing. Can't remember the model but they had wide plates and were reduced to just under 30 quid. Shouldn't be too hard to find as I think they're the only wide plate straighteners that Argos do.

John Lewis have GHDs for £79 at the moment.

Oh wow lots of options! I've always been told GHDs are the best, I have had Remington and mark hill etc and they have always been reduced but they always go within about six months and can't tane the mane properly! I'm happy to spend some more money for the quality this time.

Back2, can I ask why you didn't get on with the Corioliss?
