Am desperately trying to get hold of this dress in age 6 or 7- thought I had ordered it last week for DD as she wanted to spend her Christmas money on it.

I went to check when it was arriving and it was still in my basket and is now out of stock

I wonder if anyone who is going to John Lewis would mind looking for one? I would reimburse plus twat tax

I can check in Southampton next Tuesday for you. Have you tried calling them? They've rung round stores for a coat for me before, found one in Glasgow and sent it free of charge. Love JL!

tethersend call again, because that is a lie. I wanted the carrycot for the travel cot we have ordered, and it wasn't available online. They saw that Trafford had it so I called and had it sent.

I'd say size up in jl own brand dd is 7-8 elsewhere but 9 in jl.

Are you still there? Either size is fine, age six would be great but very happy with seven as JL sizes are pretty small. If you didn't get one, don't worry. The fact that you thought of it is lovely. Sorry I missed your post!

But whoever you spoke to at JL is a total liar - many times when something's been out of stock online I've rung customer services and they've given me a list of the stores it's still in stock and given me the phone numbers.

No, its a short distance away and I'm there quite a lot, so it's not a problem.

ah glad you have sorted it, they had one in size 8 in Watford JL but my phone is so ancient it doesn't do the internet so i thought that would be too big.

DD is only a skinny 5 but tall, so needs a six- although you're right sea- I think an 8 would have been too big.
