Alternatives to converse - again

I know this has been done to death but I am wondering about proper trainers for a 42 year old. Will I look like an idiot? Have done converse and also had some ash high tops which wore out and which I can't justify buying again.

Any ideas?

I really fancied a pair of New Balance in burgundy, not got them yet though;

Superga?

I like those new balance ones. I do like superga, but am after something a bit more substantial for winter
