He has a canvas one but it's falling apart as it's used daily for work. I'd like to surprise him with a new one but need a bit of direction please. Must be understated and casual and acceptably cool but he isn't materialistic so need not be expensive.

Leather satchel was bought for me by my other half and I love it. Think it was £50-£100 if that helps. Can't find a name on it I'm afraid. I'm a cabinet maker so the traditional look is important but wanted it to look quiet 'sharp' as well. It's a bit beaten up and smells amazing.

That sounds just the job YouSir I like the sound of beaten up and smelling nice. Maybe he could have a bit of a departure from his canvas bag.

I bought DH a nice bag a couple of xmases ago. It isn't on the Debenhams site anymore, but it was a bit like this one bag

His doesn't have buckles, so looks a bit more streamlined - and is a nicer brown, not shiny.

It is very useful, as it isn't too big, but is big enough for his tablet, plus keyboard and accessories - and a book and stuff.

(I use it sometimes too!)

That's a gorgeous bag princess Funnily enough, DP's current one is John Rocha so I might stick with the styling. I'd like it a little more worn-looking as YouSir suggested but I love that one.
