Where to start...

Hello,
Am new so apologies for any errors... Any ideas on good vlogs or websites for make up tips for me.. Am 40 and haven't ever properly worn make up so no idea what to do really... Any useful pointers would be much appreciated.

I like Lisa Eldridge make-up videos on youtube. Pixiwoo are good too but get on my wick a bit Lisa does make-up for grown-ups like you and me :) Hope that helps!

I am 42 and have always been into make up.

I think less is more at our age. let the skin show (I use a BB cream) and only use concealer under the eyes on just the very darkest bits, otherwise you will actually highlight the lines and puffy-ness. Look down into a mirror and apply with a good small headed concealer brush (I like Bobbi brown creamy concealer)

No powder or else very little on the forehead and nose

Cream blushers like Becca or Daniel Sandler watercolours

I think it's a time to not skip eye makeup as that the area that drops and bit and loses definition. I use Louise Young's matte palette (youtube louiseyoungcosmetics) almost every day, or else do tightlining with a gel and smoke it out. Lots of mascara.

Minimal brow fiddling with a shu pencil and then only on the top line.

Rae Morris on youtube has some good vids on placement of eye makeup

Katie Jane Hughes has a few nice vids, Mary Greenwell, Charlotte Tilbury, GossMakeup. Bubzbeauty

Some vlogs are for younger/out there looks but you can take away some useful tips.
