Yay or nay? Are the perfumes nice? Any opinions on the dandelion face brightening powders?

Thank you!

I like a lot of there stuff though it often gets slated on here. I don't really wear perfume so I'm not a good judge but I love dandelion and tend to use it as a blusher. I also love coralista.

DoYouLikeMyBaubles · 30/12/2013 22:14

I found the compact foundation awful.

I used the Smokin' Eyes for ages, loved that. I Like Dandelion face brightener, and the mascara is good too. Not used the perfume.

Paintingrainbowskies · 30/12/2013 22:15

I love the They're Real mascara and the Benetint.

I've seen a few recommendations for the Porefessionals stuff but not tried yet.

onetiredmummy · 30/12/2013 22:21

Dandelion powder is the best natural looking blusher I've ever used.

World Famous Nudes in Glamorous is fab, but then I love the creaseless creams. Call my buff is a great neutral base for eyeshadow as I have very pale skin. I love RSVP and birthday suit creaseless creams for everyday wear, they have a beautiful finish.

Posietint is good and can be used on lips as a stain as well as cheeks.

OneLittleLady · 30/12/2013 22:21

Porefessional is fab, I love BadGal mascara and eyeliner, currently using Hervana blusher which is lovely on my very pale skin. I don't personally like the perfumes but that's not to say you won't.

onetiredmummy · 30/12/2013 22:23

World Famous Neutrals, not nudes Smile

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 30/12/2013 22:26

I love Badgal, posietint, big beautiful eyes and am waiting for delivery of peek a bright eyes.Booing concealer is in the big beautiful eyes kit too and is very good, creamy and blends well.

RussianBlu · 30/12/2013 22:28

Oh thanks everyone, great advice. The dandelion stuff seems to be a winner! will have to check it all out.

I love ALL the face powders except dandelion but only as I have sallow skin. They are honestly gorgeous - long lasting stunning colour.
I love their little eyes make up boxes - brow zings or something.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/12/2013 22:41

Love Porefessional, Benetint and Posytint. Cha cha tint is nice in summer, but a bit too bright for pale old me. Dandelion is lovely, but only any use if you are very pale.

CambridgeBlue · 30/12/2013 23:26

I use Dandelion as an all over face powder and I think it's amazing, really flatters my pasty pale skin. It's quite pricey (for my budget anyway) but I wouldn't be without it. I use a big soft brush to swirl it all over on top of foundation (currently using the Rimmel Wake me up one) then a bit of peachy blusher (cheap as chips MUA from Superdrug) or in summer some bronzer.

I do like some other Benefit stuff - love Bad Gal eyeliner and mascara, Hoola bronzer, Browzings and High Beam - but Dandelion's the only one I use regularly.

dizhin79 · 31/12/2013 00:02

I love loads of their products and their perfumes really really really really (!) last, they are in beautiful packaging and I love them. I have the garden of eve which is a fresh scent similar to DKNY green apple shaped thingy Grin

alltoomuchrightnow · 31/12/2013 00:05

adore the perfumes
They're real is the worst mascara i've ever used. Smudge o rama..
Hate Bad Gal, again ..don't stay put
love the lipglosses
Dandelion..horrendous on my red tinged cheeks
Most stuff I do love though

alltoomuchrightnow · 31/12/2013 00:06

So hooked on Carmella is an all time favourite. Smells like biscuit tin

RussianBlu · 31/12/2013 00:11

Oh you see, Im quite fair skinned but I can get kind of red tinged cheeks too, often linked to stuff I have eaten, so now I'm thinking dandelion isn't for me! may have to think about perfume or lipgloss though lots of their perfume is out of stock for some reason.

Gives me a rash!

SundaySimmons · 31/12/2013 01:01

I don't like any of it except for Coralista the blusher.

It's naff packaging putts me off as well. Oh, and the staff on the Benefit counters all look caked in make up which hasn't been very well applied, so not a good advertisement for the products.

No matter where I go, whatever city they are in they are bright orange!

HyvaPaiva · 31/12/2013 01:10

I don't much like their stuff now. Around 2002-2005 I loved their products. I still love High Beam. Really, really miss Badgal Blue and Pineapple Facial Polish and Bathina Sandal Scandal foot cream with the bedsocks.

I particularly hate Some Kinda Gorgeous. For me, their products are tacky crap these days apart from High Beam. Such a pity, as I adored Benefit years ago.

mammmamia · 31/12/2013 01:24

I used to love dandilion - really gorgeous pink colour - but has no effect after 2 DC and hitting 35...

I also used to love their you rebel tinted moisturiser but have given that up in favour of BB cream now.

However I still love their other face powders like Hoola and I literally cannot leave the house without Lemon aid on my eyelids. Best product ever!

imposter1984 · 31/12/2013 10:13

I used to work for Benefit. The browzing eyebrow kits are great, as are the concealers, blushers, creaseless cream eyeshadows etc. The perfumes are lovely.

They are an absolute nightmare to work for though, and they have an awful habit of discontinuing good products in favour of not so great ones.

RussianBlu · 31/12/2013 10:57

Thank you everyone, some great replies. Seems like Benefit is a mixed bag and I also agree that some of the sales assistants are overly caked in make up and have some interesting eyebrows which is quite scary since that's meant to be their thing!

Boi-ing concealer is brilliant if one of the three shades is a good match for your skin. I have tried pretty much every high-coverage concealer that's available in the UK and, for my skin at least, nothing has yet surpassed the long-wearing, super-blendable, non-drying, non-greasy, full-coverage awesomeness of Boi-ing Grin. It's also great value for money - I bought my tub for £14.50 in a sale 2 Christmases ago and still have about 1/3 left, despite the fact that my skin is not my best feature.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 12:32

I had the best makeover ever at a Benefit counter - really subtle and pretty: like me but nicer!

kerstina · 31/12/2013 12:43

I love the cha cha tint I had it as a freebie with a magazine lasted ages and I like the wash of colour. Will get some more. They're real mascara is rubbish so hard to get off!
