Making fine hair look thicker?

My hair is naturally quite fine, never bothered me before but have dyed it darker and it's more obvious now. What products should I use to make it look thicker? I've never really done anything to it, just shampoo, conditioner, and occasionally a bit of argan oil on the ends when I remember. It's long so do things like mousse work or will they make it sticky vague memories of crispy moussed 80's hair and do volumising shampoos etc work or am I better off with one for coloured hair?

It must be on lots of our minds at the moment:

I stopped using conidtioner! Was a revelation and now only use it a couple of times a month. I also use morrocan oil mousse before styling, it's for curly hair but for some reason tends to make my fine hair look fuller.

Bumble & Bumble thickening hairspray is great, also L'oreal volumising heat protection spray. I use Aussie mega shampoo as it's really light and barely any conditioner (just the tiniest bit on the very ends).
I find the Babylis Big Hair works better for my friends with thicker hair; it makes my hair go flat at the roots so instead, I blow dry it upside down and tame the ends with my ghds.

Thanks HerRoyalNotness. Took you advice and didn't bother with conditioner today, and it was indeed a revelation. This combined with a bit of upside down drying has made my hair looks pretty good, so no more conditioner for me. Should save a me a few bob too.

I've recently been using this www.lush.co.uk/product/6027/Roots---225g. I wouldn't say that it has worked miracles, but it does make my hair look fuller, smells really fabulous and leaves my scalp feeling great.
