1950s dress- help!

I've been invited to a 1950s themed NYE party and now I need a dress! I can find quite a few on eBay that I like but they won't get here in time! Has anyone seen any in shops or know of any shops that sell this style of dress? I live in London.

Ideally I would like a black and white or red and black polka dot halter top full skirted dress!

There's loads on Amazon you might be able to get next day delivery. There is a seller called Tiger milly which I have used - fast delivery. I think they recommend you go up a size. They have tons of designs I like this one

This dress is gorgeous but perhaps a little more than I would like to spend. In a pinch I'll consider it a late Xmas gift to myself!
I don't think I can get to Brighton tomorrow!

Another vote for Vivienne of holloway here. Love my dress from her (get the petticoat, you won't regret it, it makes the outfit).

Collectif! They have 3 shops in london I think-one is in spitalfields and you can google the others. There clothes are gorgeous.

I agree on getting the petticoat Smile Also, be prepared to leave any perceptions of your dress size at the door of Vivian's - her sizes are proper dressmaker's, teeny tiny sizes!!

Thanks you for your help everyone. Think I'll swing to Collectif in Stoke Newington tomorrow and look in the all the vintage shops there and if I don't find anything I'll head to Vivienne on Tuesday.. if they're open.
