Dr Marten help!!

So, i have a couple of pairs of DM's that i usually wear with jeans and a tee, but have a craving to wear them in a more edgy way. Only thing is i don't know how (clueless about clothing!). I'm tall, nearly 6ft but chunky 16/18 and 43 years old. Any (kind) ideas please?

I wear mine with leggings/ tunics, or with pretty dresses for a random grunge type day. Mine are knee high bright red lace ups, they don't really 'go' with anything, they always stand out.
Am wearing them now with a tartan skirt and navy baggy jumper.

I've got black patent 1460s, which I wear to work in the family restaurant. I wear them with full skirts and pretty dresses. Some customers look a bit askance but I also get loads of compliments. Mostly I have happy toes. I say wear them with everything. Am very jealous of long red ones.

I wear mine with short skirts, dresses or leggings. Mine don't blend in Much either, I just embrace that and stick them on with pretty much whatever I'm wearing.

I have purple patent and pewter patent eight hole ones. Love them!

I'm 39. Back in the day I had orange dm's and red patent ones. So wish I still had them......they were stored in my mums loft and she got rid of them

I'm 55. I have red, black, purple, green and a couple of different styles. I wear them with tunics and leggings, jeans, dresses. I look my age and dress in an age appropriate manner, they're great and go with anything.

Jealous of purple patent ones. fab choice . I wear my triumphs with dresses the bistro crops from boden look great with them and I also have the mary jane style docs they are fab in the summer. Need to be more adventurous in my colours. Am treating my dd to a pair for her 16th this coming month. Docs look funky with anything its about having the confidence to carry them off. I did at some stage worry am I getting old in my late forties but thought you only live once so go for it. Purple patents here I come

I got my 14yo DD the purple spectra patents for xmas ... now I'm tempted to borrow them when she's at school!

I have 3 pairs and I wear them with dresses. Mostly tea dresses and full skirted dresses. Skirts too. I don't wear them with trousers/jeans often.

I've got a pair of 8 hole, black velvet ones and wear them with whatever I feel like. I personally think they look great with my flouncy lace skirt
