Star Trek extra

I've bought a dress I plan to wear on New Years Eve and sent a picture to my friend.

www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?searchTerm=Religion+clock+dress&storeId=12556&productId=13057586&urlRequestType=Base&categoryId=&langId=-1&productIdentifier=product&catalogId=33057

She has a great sense of humour and replied that I might look like a Star Trek extra!

My daughter, who is my harshest critic is away and has only seen the dress on the website when I ordered it and hasn't seen it on me.

It's very nice on, very comfortable and the colour is great. I didn't want to spend lots on a dress it am only going to wear for one night as I doubt I will get much wear our of it.

I've bought it in two sizes, my usual size and a size smaller and the smaller size is a much better fit but it is very second skin similar to a Trekkie outfit!

I am wearing black opaque tights and black stiletto boots and have a pink clutch bag.

Do you think it's a bit Star Trekkie?

As long as you don't take a phaser gun with you I think you'll be alright!

LaurieFairyCake · 29/12/2013 11:08

I can see what your mate is saying Grin

Lovely tunic though, wouldn't put me off.

shoeprincess2 · 29/12/2013 11:09

Nope, I think it is gorgeous. But then, even if it did look like a Star Trek outfit, there is nothing wrong with that. I think it is fab!

LaurieFairyCake · 29/12/2013 11:09

Are you really going to spend £70 on something you will only wear once though
Confused

Isn't there something about that price that you will get more wear out of?

SundaySimmons · 29/12/2013 11:46

Laurie, it will probably end up on ebay if I don't wear it again.

It's not the first time Star Trek has been mentioned! I have a beautiful royal blue body top that I wore with high waisted black skinny trousers and some wag of a guy where I was mentioned Star Trek!

I'm more worried about lasting all night on the stiletto boots to be honest!

Thanks for replies, I will go ahead and wear the dress, it does look lovely on.

I love it!

Nocomet · 29/12/2013 12:09

Wear it! It's fun without being too OTT.

My dark auburn haired, size 12 DD1 would look stunning in it. If you can do heels you'll look even better.

(I have far too many lumps and bumps and hips that are not fitted dress comparable Sad)

I love it! Go for it
