Hi there, I need help! I need a short (I am only 5'1 and the dress is mid thigh), 'light control' slip for NYE. Can anyone recommend anything? It must be sub 80 cm from shoulder to hem.

I've tried M&S, next and eBay sellers. Can anyone recommend anything? Or is there a more straightforward solution that doesn't involve searching for extra petite slip length?

How about something like this? Mine is in the washing machine so I can't check the length but even if it were too long you could pull it up a bit I reckon

Thanks drummer. Yes, I thought of that, but the problem is that you then cut off the circulation under the armpits iyswim! I've tried an adjustable one, but can't quite get it to adjust enough without making the underarm too tight.

Have you tried Yummie Tummie? I just got one & it seems short:

Hi cardoon, yes I looked at thT, but can't see any length measurements anywhere. Am I being dim.....?

My size 10 measures 76cms shoulder to hem - I quite like it...

mrgarybarlow · 29/12/2013 22:45

I have the slip from m&s that cardoon links to. I love mine.

beanandspud · 29/12/2013 23:31

I have the M&S slip too - it's great under dresses and very comfortable.

NumptyNu · 30/12/2013 10:38

Thanks all - those measurements are really helpful. I'm off to order!

I tried on one of those M&S body control slips and am usually an M&S size 10 or 12 but found the 12 cripplingly tiny; thought I'd be stuck in it forever. Do you find this one true to size?

cardoon · 30/12/2013 17:09

I do, but I think you're always best to step into these things Wink....

cardoon · 30/12/2013 17:29

....and out Grin

The 10 and 12 arrived today (I'm usually 10). Didn't even attempt the 10. The 12 feels pretty 'snug' let's say. Silly question perhaps, but how tight is it supposed to feel?

The good news though is that the length is good!
