Hello, can someone please link to the BKT kit that you can buy on Amazon? The one that keeps getting recommended on here? would be v grateful. I usually get mine done in a salon but one of my NY resolutions is to start saving £.

Also, any hot tips on getting the most out of it?

Thank you in advance

Can't link but box is white with woman wearing headscarf. Best best thing ever fir my super thick wild unruly poofs up to super big hair after 30 ghd'ubg. Lasts full 3 months easy to apply, redid mine fir this tine last Sunday.

Thanks, will have a look for that packaging

Is it basically the same process they use in the salon?
Clarifying shampoo
Blow dry
Apply treatment
Leave for a bit
Blow dry again
GHDs
Don't wash hair for at least 72 hours

Hi lulu, never tried it myself but seen it on here loads. Bit the bullet n bought it. Only £27 reviews are mega...

AngieM2 · 27/12/2013 23:17

Yes lulu that's the one and yes, that's the process. Used it twice now, better results the first time but probably because I was more slap dash with the application second time round. Can highly recommend, saves so much time, especially if your a daily gym and hair washer.

carrielou2007 · 28/12/2013 08:17

Yep that's it amazing stuff!! First used it when dc3 was newborn and made such a difference in tge mornings few mins to blast fair dry (rather than 20 mins with round brush) abd 5 mugs straighten ends (rather than 30 mins). Washed every three days didn't look any different!! Such a difference to get out fir school/preschool on time!!

Got my Dh to do mine for me! Used half a pot on past shoulder length hair. I think I should maybe have used more as although it was lush, and swishy and gorgeous, it didn't last that long. Maybe about 6 weeks max.

Maybe that's also because I have flakey scalp and although I was using an sls free shampoo most of the time (Avalon organics tea tree from waitrose) I have to use elvive dandruff shampoo every 4th or 5th wash.

Totally worth it though even for 6 weeks of swishy hair.

It's great stuff but it doesn't last that long on my hair. Probably around two months. I guess that's because I wash it every day. First time I used it was better too, but I've no idea why that would be, unless it's because I used the second half of the pot for my second application, instead of using a new pot.

Still worth it though.

It's lasted a full 2 months for me now and still looks the same so hoping I get another couple months before having to repeat! I was my hair pretty much every day too. I think it's fantastic. Some people said its not a straightening treatment as such but it has completely straightened my very curly hair so is nothing short of miraculous in my book.
