I read a thread on MN about this ages ago.

It listed lots of different high end brands which made lower end brands secretly.

Some people didnt believe it.

They might make it but it won't be the same stuff they sell for lots of cash.

Lots of companies make for more than one brand. For example, brand toothpastes making for supermarket value ranges.

Bourjois is made by Chanel apparently...

It doesn't mean it will be the same quality, same ingredients etc

As an ex H&M worker yes its made in the same factory as mac with some of the same products.

M&S toiletries are Clarins I think.

Because there are hardly any cosmetics factories making to UK standards
However different ingredients and qualities does not the same product make

I'd heard about Bourgeois and Chanel, and agree they seem v similar.
Lancôme and L'Oreal I'd heard too.....I like both products.
I wonder whether it's just more expensive packaging but I do think there is more pigment in expensive lipstick certainly.

I was in top shop the other day and the make up artists in there were saying theirs was mac too.

Wonder what MAC would say if they knew TS and H and m sales assistants were saying that?

And yes, Loreal is the mother company of lancombe, shu uemera, kheils and many other brands.

I'd love to know who makes the Boots natural collection range. The pigments in their blushers and some of their eyeshadows are lovely and just as good as premium products I've had.
