Anyone bought or used one and would you recommend one?

I bought the sensational kit from boots at the beginning of the month - was on offer for £45. Have used it twice, very happy with it and already got my money back on what it would have cost to have 2 gelerations in a salon!

How are you removing it AngieM2? I bought it as well, the reviews were great but I'm afraid I'm going to wreck my nails with it.

Sit with your fingers in nail polish remover, takes a bit longer than the pure acetone they use in salons but after almost 3 weeks that are ready to come off. I then rub them off gently using the end of my thumb.

I have the kit that was on special offer in boots too. I love it! To remove I soak cotton wool in 100% acetone (which I got from Sainsburys pharmacy) put them on my nails and wrap in foil. I leave it up to 20 mins then most polish just comes off. What doesn't scraps off easily with a cuticle stick. I get polishes from amazon for around £5. Much cheaper than the ones from boots.

It was the boots one that caught my eye. So does it look as good as the salon gels

Had the boots one last year for xmas and my nails have never looked so good or grown so well without breaking.

I actually only do clear on mine and then put normal polish on top - I was lucky to get half a day out of normal nail varnish before and now it lasts 3 or 4 days (over the gel)

Its not the gel polish that will damage your nails,its incorrect removal - I use smilerc's method removal,remember never,ever peel or pick it off and if there's any residue still left on after removing the tinfoil etc just leave it for a few more minutes till it almost wipes off.

Ok I think I've been convinced to keep it. I was considering returning it cos I thought I'd ruin my nails removing it. Thanks!

Buggar now I've gone back to order the boots one it's back to full price
