Quick bra size question

WeAreSix · 20/12/2013 13:47

My ever decreasing boobs need a decent bra to go under a lovely dress - probably will order this to go under dress

My measurements are 28 / 34.5 although I suspect a 28 will be too tight (but not if cup size is correct, right?!)

Do I order 28E and 30DD?

Thanks lovely S&B ladies :)

Order a 28f too. Curvy Kate often big in back and a bit snug in cup and you are between e and f

I second Statistically - CK are v generous in the back ime because of the high stretch fabrics they use - I measure 31.5 underneath and can comfortably wear many a CK design in a 28! And that dress is gorgeous btw Grin

That's really helpful, thank you :)

I'm hoping I've really got the outfit together now - bring on the NYE wedding!

The CK isn't in stock in 28F.

Do you know how Freya sizes?

I find Freya pretty similar, generally generous-ish in the back ( I measure 30 and their 30s are rooms on me, the 28s just a pinch too small) and their cups I would say are average to big.

Only thing is, have you got the dress yet? Might not bother you but I think the seams from that bra would show through.

The CK is in stock here or what about something like the Freya Deco in nude.

SorrelForbes · 20/12/2013 16:35

I've got a feeling that the Freya bra you've linked to might come up too high at the side and show above the arm hole of the dress.

WeAreSix · 20/12/2013 16:36

Yes I've got the dress and it is being altered as I've lost so much weight now I've stopped breastfeeding :(

That amazon picture is an appalling fit! Not sure I like it now, it looks different in that picture.

This one instead?

Don't go by amazon pictures. They're always shit! Seriously, they should be shot for crimes against bra fitting. Generally pictures on bravissimo or brastop are more reliable. Figleaves are also useless.

As sf mentioned, how high is the dress under the arms? It's a problem in a lot of dresses so I quite often wear bras which are either a reallly good colour match, or nude

WeAreSix · 20/12/2013 17:32

It fits quite snugly under arms, I've got this but in a 30D (which obviously doesn't fit) and that doesn't show.

That Debenhams bra, being a half cup, is really low under the arms. I've found that most plunges and full cups aren't cut like that and this therefore tend to show. Trial and error I'm afraid.

Ah ok, you learn something new every day! I'll order and see what they're like.

Thanks for the help
