if I remember correctly Next had there VIP online sale a few days before Christmas last year, so if I'm lucky (dependending on your point of view of course!) enough I may be getting an invite email this week? I think they will be sending the emails any time....???

I've checked the link for the vip sale and its not on yet! The clearance section usually gets taken down online first, I would expect slots will be sent out wed/thurs for slots sat/sun?? Soooo excited there's loads I want!! You don't have to wait for an email, I usually keep logging ino my account several times a day when I'm expecting the sale :) if you get a slot it appears on your account sometimes a few hours before slots go out.

Oh I'll keep logging into my Next account from time to time then!

There was a year where I didn't receive an invite and again the following year, so got my hubby to ring them (account in his name) and he complained on my behalf ha ha & they offered us a slot!

I don't really bother with self as much, it's just usually for dd & ds & hubby. In saying that there's usually not much for dd either so it's the boys in our house that do well out of it!

I've been wandering about the e-mail too, thought I'd check on here for you wise people, glad I did! Booked a slot from 5pm Sunday, I presume there were earlier slots?!

I just spoke to them and apparently you have to meet their 'criteria' to get a slot and even then it's pot luck?! Hmm

There's never that much online when I look anyway!

Just got a text so have booked my slot. Not sure what time it starts, but my slot isn't until 7pm Sunday.

Received invite mid morning so have booked slot for Sunday at 5pm, but don't know if I will bother to use it........ tend to only buy furniture from there now. Have bought very little from their clothing ranges the last 12 months as ended up returning majority of items I sent for as poor quality, cheap materials and ill fitting and just weren't good value for money. Only exception has been some items of jewellery, which have been very reasonably priced and surprisingly good quality.

Used to buy a lot of DCs clothes from them over the last few years, but now they are older, the styles and fit just don't suit them, so shop elsewhere. Last year, ordered a fair bit of stuff from Winter sale and several parcels went missing and were never received, yet they still charged me for items and on top of that, charged me for items that they had never even sent to me as the stock levels must have run out when it came to fulfilling my order. Phoned them and to be fair, they did credit the items on the next statement.

Have recently opted out of receiving directories as they are not like the old style ones we used to receive with samples of material in and were laid out like a coffee table book - I first shopped at Next in the eighties when it was something different and new on the high street and the items were better quality, but now, I think they have lost their way and other stores have taken their place.

Bollocks. No email yet and nothing on my account. The Christmas sale is usually pretty decent and I stock up for next year. And I want a sideboard! Come on you sods.

Ring them up GML, and ask if pretty please, you could have one - other MNers have said that they have done that in the past and been given a slot. Don't try, wont get is my motto of the day.

So how can you spot a slot if you log onto your account then?

If you have been selected to get a VIP invite there is a banner asking you to choose a slot when you have logged in.

Gingefringe when I logged into my account there was an icon at the top of the screen about booking a slot!

Got a slot at 6pm and I've opted out of directories and rarely buy anything, so don't know what the criteria is. i do usually get a slot, though was not expecting one this time as not getting directory.
