Looking for something to wear with black trousers on Christmas Day. Any views on these?

Coast just not sure about the colour, I wonder what it's like IRL?

Don't particularly want grey but this Mint Velvet jumper looks pretty.

So hard to find anything half decent. LKB have a gorgeous cardigan but its more than I want to spend so I really must resist the temptation!

Anyway, opinions on, or alternatives to, the above appreciated Xmas Smile.

How much is LKB cardigan.

Can you link?

I'm tending towards the one you love (although don't go into debt for it). Grin

Here's the cardigan, Mir, but it's grey. I prefer the navy but don't think it will look great with black and, if I buy a cardigan, I need to get a top for under. Am leaning towards Mint Velvet. What do you think of it - or Coast?

I'm afraid I don't like them because both use 'hot fix' - rhinestones and crystals glued on. It looks really cheap even though they aren't cheap pieces. It doesn't sound like you particularly like the colours (I find them very washed-out) so I think definitely buy the LK Bennett. It's clearly your favourite and you should only ever buy things you love.

Sainsbury's have a nice version of the coast jumper
The mint velvet one will grease stain horribly anywhere near Christmas cooking (DDs trash pale grey stuff at frequent intervals)

Are you a 70+ member of the WI or a stick thin 19yo?

If not steer clear of the cardigan it's awful

MrsMcGregor · 15/12/2013 22:27

Nooooo, don't do this to me ..... to my poor dwindling bank account ...... I do quite like it but it really is more than I want to spend. Will have to sleep on it for another the night!

I think the cardigan is nicer.

But tell me you won't be cooking in it.

fgrin Neither, Star. A fairly slim 40-something with a bit of a tum. Actually, that's just the sort of feedback I need about the cardigan - keep it coming!

Okay, I can think about it no more tonight!

Sorry I'm 46 and, after 14 years, still the youngest of our WI.
No offence intended, they are lovely. Many off them are also slimmer and better dressed than me. They never rush in late in jeans and trainers!

It's just DSIS bought me a cardigan with silver bits and crystal buttons and WI is the only place I've ever worn it.

You realise I now wish I'd bought the Sainsbury's version of the coast jumper. I haven't got a Christmas day top, either.

My nice wine coloured one has shrunk (I have several debenhams tops that have got shorter suddenly)
