Spring wedding guest outfit help please?

Family wedding in May, very clueless about smart dressing and I really want to get this right...

Lunchtime service, afternoon and evening reception. I am a size 18, 5'9", dark blonde shoulder length hair, big boobs, legs might be OK from below knee with heels and hopefully dark tights (can I wear dark tights at a spring wedding?).

I've just ordered this Boden dress on the basis that I like it, I know that style suits my big chest, etc.

But what would go with it? Tights, shoes, bag, some sort of cover up? My instinct is to go with black but that's not the most stylish option is it?

And I want some sort of hair accessory, maybe like this comb or this smaller one. But my hair is very thick, in a long bob, so will a comb stay in?

Please help - I've had a really crap couple of years, feeing very down about myself and would really love to go to the wedding feeling great about myself and looking stylish.

In the picture with the model wearing your dress, she is wearing some teal coloured tights with it. Dark blue shoes maybe?

Coast have some pretty hair combs or Etsy is always worth a look.

Thanks dexter. I'd love to wear coloured tights but not sure I have the legs or the confidence Smile. Of course, if the colour was exactly right...

Was thinking shoes would have to be low fronted court style to elongate me as much as possible (although I rather like these).

Will look at those combs.

It's just so hard - colours have to go, styles have to match, it has to conceal and flatter and fit me - not much to ask Grin

Maybe dark grey tights would be better than black? I love those shoes you have linked to!

OK, have found some tips about how to get combs to stay in loose hairstyles (2 grips in an x-shape under the top layer of hair).

Dark grey tights is a good idea.
