I got the early e-mail so my order arrived today. I got two pairs of pull ons for dds which are really nice colours. Gathered band tunic in black for me which is lovely and two Emma tops. Very pleased with them for the price. I have a 38H cup bust and they fit very nicely.

MoreThanChristmasCrackers - I suppose it depends on what you normally wear. I'm quite intrigued as to what you wear as it sounds like you might have quite a unique style! Most people I know do tend to wear fairly bland clothes like jeans with a jumper, jersey dress.

PrimalLass · 17/12/2013 12:17

I bought 8 pointelle tshirts for DD - 4 long sleeved and 4 short sleeved. I know they suit her and I can chuck out loads of her cheap crappy stuff.

lynniep · 17/12/2013 12:23

I bought both the boys shaggy lined hoodys. more from nanna really as she sent me a cheque to use on them. They get good reviews. I couldn't be bothered with any of the adult stuff. I've also got issues with the boys trousers so didn't bother this year.

slalomsuki · 17/12/2013 13:41

I bought a couple of dresses; going back, two jumpers; going back, a wrap over top; going back and a pair of trousers for DD; going back.

Just as well that I had a free returns label.

dreamingofsun · 17/12/2013 13:44

which dress slalom and what was wrong with them?

2madboys · 17/12/2013 13:44

Dreamingofsun - I got the Westbourne dress which is really flattering around the middle. Ordered the red and blue to choose one (week before the sale). Keeping the red as I prefer the colour.

dreamingofsun · 17/12/2013 13:49

2madboys.....style looks good but i need something more formal.....was thinking about my son's graduation. the material looks a bit casual for that?

I was mightily pissed off to get a postcard/bag combo informing me of the sale date and then logging on to find it had started earlier.

I often buy quite a few items in their sale, never pay full price unless I have to.

I'm presuming the paper bag was to blow into to stop me hyperventilating with rage over being duped about the sale start date.

They had nothing left in the dc's sizes for stuff that we needed, maybe they did when the sale actually started, who knows.

Badly done Johnnie, Badly done !

I put lots of knitwear in my basket, then read the (awful) reviews so promptly removed them! Far too many incidences of 'bobbling', 'pilling' and items looking 'old' after a few days wear.

However, I did buy the Audrey jumper in pine green and two boxes of kids' socks for presents (they look fun). First ever purchase after lots and lots of scouring the site/catalogue!

herecomesthsun · 18/12/2013 04:50

I ordered 2 dresses both going back.

Back in the day, as a young professional living in London, I wanted to look edgy and loved Red Not Dead and finds from Camden Market mixed with Vintage and Harvey Nicks sale stuff.

As an older professional, living in a country village with 2 small children, I would look bonkers staggering around in studded wedge trainers and statement leather. I need a convenient online source of decently made clothes that can be machine washed and won't frighten the horses/ neighbours. Boden sale is quite good for this (but not this time apparently). I did get some great, cheap work dresses from the Winter sale last year.

RockMummy · 18/12/2013 07:49

Bought the Hampstead top in geranium and it's gorgeous. As I'm an autumn the colour is beautiful and will be nice to wear going out.

dreamingofsun · 18/12/2013 08:56

looked at the blue hampstead online - the one for my colouring - and it reminds me of the work overalls i used to have at work. its exactly the same colour blue

newpup · 18/12/2013 09:08

I got the e-mail late as well! Did not even look at the ladieswear as I have bought a lot recently elsewhere and was not tempted to look. I did buy DD1(14) a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of ankle grazers reduced to £15 each. I bought her the ankle grazers in the spring in a different colour and she loves them so pleased they were in the sale. Also bought her a chunky knit boyfriend cardigan to go with her Xmas gifts. Ordered Sunday, despatched yesterday so should have them by the weekend.

Lurleene · 19/12/2013 19:50

They have now reduced lots of items further - I just bought the Perfectly Cosey Parker reduced to £67 - sadly none of the free delivery codes seem to be working on sale items now.

Lighthousekeeping · 19/12/2013 20:37

Typical.

scarlet76 · 20/12/2013 00:08

Super Skinny jeans in Lapis. Read reviews and sized up from my usual 6 to an 8. Shouldn't have. They were all wrinkly in the leg. Don't like them enough to order in the 6. Back they go.
Spotty jersey dress in coffee. Nice dress. Colour awful on me. No other colour left in my size. Back it goes.
60s inspired patterned roll neck jumper. Beyond awful. No idea what I was thinking.

Have since ordered red leather ankle boots but discount was poor but I need new boots.

CointreauVersial · 20/12/2013 09:16

I ordered a Brondesbury top and a Mixed Stitch jumper. I planned to order the jumper a couple of days ago, so was chuffed to see the discount had increased by the time I got round to it.

BUT when I came to check out, it flashed up that I had £58 store credit! No idea how long that had been there, as I haven't ordered from Boden for a while, but I'm a bit annoyed, as it must mean they didn't process a refund properly (and what's more, I didn't notice). Confused So I paid about £3 in the end. Smile

newpup · 20/12/2013 10:55

Oh yes! Now further reductions and plenty of stock :-( The two pairs of jeans I bought DD1, the ankle grazers and the skinny jeans are now £12 instead of the £15 I paid on Sunday. However, I don't think the free p&p is on now so I would have only saved £2 and would not have had them in time for Xmas. Chunky Cardigan I bought her still same price. Feel better now Smile
