Do I dust off the uggs again (classic, long tan boots) or say so long and goodbye?

No.

That's all there is to discuss.

YoDiggity · 14/12/2013 06:51

Unless you are eighty and can't afford central heating.

I don't care what anyone says, I love mine. Have 3 different pairs. The long tan ones are a classic.

Actually I disagree, lots of people say they wear them because they're warm and snuggly but they know they don't look good.

I like the way my uggs look, especially with my skinny jeans and jumpers. Shock horror I must be so tacky!

Oh and they go with pretty much anything, leggings, dresses and uggs are my school uniform of choice during my winter months at work.

Uggs are vile and sheep are kept and slaughtered in extremely vile conditions to produce them and then to sell to people for ludicrous prices.

I have a pair of the tall chestnut uggs; they are great for slobbing about in at weekends, but I would not buy a pair again.

They seem to make any outfit look scruffy and are very impractical as it always seems to rain where I live.

I've just bought some sheepskin insoles to put in my leather boots, comfortable and stylish!

carrie74 · 14/12/2013 09:12

DH bought me a pair of short ones for my birthday, and they're lush, BUT for indoor use only. I can't imagine wearing them outside: impractical for where I live (rural and rainy), and not my style. There are a couple of mums who wear them around here, but they're not working a sartorial look I would seek to emulate.

I absolutely love them and couldn't give a flying f what anyone else thinks. I wear them if I have to go out straight after yoga - most days as I practice at 5 or 6am before the school run - as it's really bad to loose heat too quickly.

I have choc brown kenlys - the ones with a zip - and some black/charcoal short ones from Australia luxe. Also have a pair of bearpaws from tk maxx which are my slippers, we have a draughty Victorian terrace with floorboards throughout, they are a lifesaver.

So, if they are so two years ago (having read that I just worked out that I bought my first pair in 2006. Shit. Feel old). What's the new Ugg?
