Hat for DS1 (13yo)

DS1 needs a hat for school.

He won't wear a coat but will take hat and gloves he can wear with his blazer and stuff in his bag when he gets to school.

He has a great Alpine (?) style hat which he loves and wears a lot at weekends but that's too stand out for school apparently (although he says it's because it's too good to take to school and lose!)

So what plain, unobtrusive, hats do your 13yo boys like? He did have a plain black beanie but it's gone a very strange shape in the wash.

I would say plain black beanie. DS doesn't wear a hat to school but does wear his footy club black beanie for training.

I would second the black beanie. River Island have the for a fiver.
