Have finally found dry shampoo that works

I have stupidly fine hair that gets greasy in about 5 mins. It looks lank and minging by lunchtime of day two. Currently in a rental with the most piss poor excuse for a shower ever and was reduced to filling the sink with lukewarm water (cos there is never any hot) an usig a saucepan to rinse my grist. Clearly this is not going to happen every day

I'e always found dry shampoo shite but needs must so bought some at the weekend. Wased hair sat night, Sunday it was okay, Monday sprayed bastise XXL dry shampoo all over and it's actually worked. Te normal stuff has never done anything for me (have a can at home for years) but this stuff is excellent. Total convert.

Fellow grease ball, I commend it to you for when you need an extra day or want to do an up style.

after washing my hair i will then later spray on dry shampoo to make it last longer... mine gets greasy same day too if i don't watch it.. this usually buys me another day so i can at least wash every other day. and i have to sink wash too....

Thanks for the tip. I've recently discovered dry shampoo but need a new one so will try this. It gives great body at my roots when hair past its best, i can whizz some into my roots, shake it about a bit and throw my head back, pull into a loose bun and it looks magically insouciant in a way I've never before achieved Smile

ok, have seen that one in supermarkets, what does it actually do? is it powdery?

Frigintinsella · 10/12/2013 21:51

XXL is great it does make my hair feel horrible though, I've found it good for curls and up do's when you need to leave your hair a couple of days so it's not too silky

FreeButtonBee · 10/12/2013 21:55

Oh yes, feels horrible I agree. But then so does grease!

piratecat it doesn't seem to be as powdery as the ordinary sort. I think the most important thing is to hold the can a good distance from your head when spraying so it doesn't clump. I brush well before spraying. Them spray, leave for 2 mins, rub into scalp and give it a good massage then brush through really well.
