Zara coat - between sizes

I have bought this coat from Zara:

www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/coats/duffle-coat-with-fur-hood-c269183p1485071.html

I am a size 12 (with boobs) and I got both the M and L to try at home. The M looks better but is a bit tight over the bust and shoulders. The L feels better but does look a bit big especially over the hips.

I know it's difficult to say without a photo, but which size should I go for? It's a bit depressing being a L when I'm only a size 12! But it's not that so much, more so that it looks big.

L and cut the label out! Also maybe get it tailored? I'm a bit of a funny shape these days and often have to buy a larger size to fit my manly shoulders and then get the rest of the garment tailored to fit my waist and hips. Your dry cleaner should be able to do it.

The problem with sticking with the medium is that you'll be limited as to what you can wear underneath it, which really isn't ideal with a coat - I speak with bitter experience.

Blame your boobs, there's no shame in having to get a larger size to accommodate them. Wink

Coats need to be roomy in case you have to wear a thick jumper underneath.

I had this with my zara coat. I'm normally 8/10 so ordered a small which didn't fit over boobs so had a m which is alot better.

I'd get the bigger one and have it tailored to fit in the places it's a little big. Better too big than too small!

yy, size up. Zara clothing is tiny anyway.

Size up, then you can fit a jacket underneath. I always forget about this when I'm trying on.

Thanks all, after all that I'm not sure about the coat now! I don't know if it's warm enough for really cold days. But it looks like I'm a L in Zara coats anyway!

I find that it's best not too think too much about Zara sizes. I'm a 12 too, and since when was that large??
