GHD Vs Cloud Nine

My beloved GHDs are beginning to die after a long and faithful service so for Xmas I may get a new pair. Am looking at either the V set or cloud nine. Has anyone any experience of either? GHDs marginally cheaper but given how much I use them would go for quality rather than cost. Also I have thick wavy hair so they need to be pretty heavy duty.

My friend with afro-style hair swears by Cloud Nine - and says they damage her hair less than GHDs and they are slightly cooler.

I had my own GHDs stolen on a hen do and have been making do with some ones I picked up for 40 quid in TK Maxx - I miss my GHDs tho!

I like the sound of Cloud Nine's. I found an article that says they have a new model out that heats up really quickly and doesn't have any switches. You click to change the temp.

They could be fantastic or just a fad but I can't find any reviews of them. Anyone own them?
