Getting rid of dry, flaky post-cold nose - quickly!

ThurlHoHoHow · 08/12/2013 09:39

Help! I have a job interview tomorrow. I also have a flaky nose, thanks to a killer cold all week. Thanks, universe. It's at that stage where make-up will make it look about 10 times worse. Can't pull it off either, tried that and it's going to make it awful.

Any really good tips? Shiny corporate firm interview, I'd rather look vaguely decent tomorrow...

Put on Vaseline today hopefully that will help it heal a bit

LittleTulip · 08/12/2013 09:51

Elizabeth arden 8 hour skin protectant

Slap it on!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 08/12/2013 09:52

This is going to sound gross but what I do is very gently sand it down with a fine emery board.

PyjamaDayToday · 08/12/2013 09:55

Vaseline? Olive oil? Very gently exfoliate?

notapizzaeater · 08/12/2013 09:57

I have a lip balm stick purely for this, I Rub it on all day and smother it at night.

Madamecastafiore · 08/12/2013 09:57

Liz Arden 8 hour junk slathered on.

Blisteze, it's supposed to be for lips but good on sore noses too. It might not look like it's working today but will have helped by tomorrow.

ggirl · 08/12/2013 10:05

I had this earlier this week and LRP Cicaplast Baume B5 remedied it straightaway and cost less than 10€ at the local pharmacy.

Lansinoh nipple cream is brilliant for this.

Good luck with the interview.

Any emollient and an old toothbrush. Scrub the dead skin off!

kelda · 08/12/2013 17:48

Carmex lip balm.

Bellebelle · 08/12/2013 17:59

Was suffering with this too yesterday, put bio oil on before bed and had completely recovered this morning.

Good luck with the interview Smile

I tried some tweezers this morning and just made my nose sore! Blush

Have spent the whole day slathering on variously olive oil and the thickest cream I can find and it's look much better. I'll have a good exfoliate before bed and then put some nappy cream on lucky DP It is looking much better already though! Hopefully enough to get by tomorrow. Though irritatingly the achyness of this cold has come back again, so hopefully it will have gone by the morning!
