Bags for cool kids

What bags are the cool kids using these days?

DD is still at primary, doing that pre teen thing, but I'm hoping if I buy her a bag now it will last for the next year and into secondary. She also needs a bag she can use for her gymnastics kit.

I'm from the days when Head bags were just the best. Remember those zip off bits?

My dds have messenger style bags from paperchase, in y5

Yeeah, she has a cath kidston kids style messenger bag already for her school books.

But it's a bit girly for her really. And not so great for carting her gym kit in.

Am I completely unreasonable to be thinking Eastpak?!

My dd (11) has one hollister rucksack amd we've bought her a cath kidston one for Christmas.

Butteredsidedown · 06/12/2013 18:09

Hollister you say?

Am googling.

Yes she's had lots of compliments on that one but it's fabric and not quite robust enough for all the secondary school books she lugs around. be great for gym and stuff like thst though.

There aren't any rucksacks on their website, but I see the style on google images, I like them, but they don't look particularly robust, no.
