Leather skater skirts

Got one, love it, now making it work for winter and have jumpers etc sorted

But what tights? Woolen, black opaque, argh!

My dd wears hers with both and they look good.

I can't help thinking, you must be really brave... And really skinny.

I saw a teenage girl wearing one in Bicester village and she looked..ill advised.

Um, thanks?! I'm not really skinny but do have long legs and really short torso so I think that's why it works with my proportions. It works anyway!

Just need help with the tights

Can imagine that working in the dim and distant past (~1989) my disco outfit was a black skater skirt and cropped sort of military red jacket with gold buttons.

I have long legs and a short body and full skirts and fitted tops always work better than the other way round.

Now being several sizes bigger, fussy tops just make me look Mumsy in the extreme.

Yeah it probably wouldn't have been a great look for the preschool me in the late 80's

My body has massively changed since two DC, I've lost my bum and boobs (why oh why didn't I appreciate them more!) so the full skirt style kinda works better

Also I live in LA so it's conservative compared to some of the get ups you see traipsing around
