Sounds like vosene.
It debends on your budget but L'occitane have some gorgeous smelling shampoos, but they are not cheap at £15 a bottle.

Deffo sounds like vosene - kind of Rosemary scent. Also used to like pears shampoo. Have you tried any by Faith (from health shops or organic suppliers???? Our local farm shops sells faith.

Seconding Faith In Nature, they do a rosemary one. You can buy it easily online including gallon bottles for about £50.

Wasn't Timotei was it?

Green People? Lovely kids shampoos smelling of light lavender. Good value....you don't need much.

Gatekeeper · 12/12/2013 09:28

it was back in the early to mid 70's so has disappeared into the ether Grin, just remember it was intensely dark green.

I used to like the smell of Vidal Sassoon shampoo as well and Faberge Wheatgerm and Honey. Shampoo just doesn't smell as nice nowadays

will have a good sniff at the green people one too, thanks

Aveda products smell lovely if you don't mind splashing out a bit.

ProfondoRosso · 12/12/2013 09:37

Can't help identify the longlost shampoo (sorry OP Smile) but have you tried any of the Dr Organic range from Holland and Barrett? They're usually about 5/6 quid a bottle, but in the buy one get one half price offer just now. I had the rose one for a while - it's not too sweet, quite earthy in its own way! And I think they do an olive one too.

Do you think it was Silvikrin in a thin bottle ?
as we used it for years and all I ever wanted to wash my hair with was my big sisters vidal sassoon Smile

Orangesarenottheonlyfruit · 12/12/2013 09:47

About to recommend Faith in Nature Rosemary shampoo but see someone else already has. It's gorgeous!

Gatekeeper · 12/12/2013 09:52

I really can't remember what it was but twas lovely. My mate used to used Klorane babySophieRose ...it had walnut juice in (nearly wrote 'jizz' there Grin and made her like all glossy and dark

Anyone remember Cosmetics to Go before they went bust and became Lush? They did fab shampoos, much better than Lush which seem to be all stink and artifical colours these days.

Seconding Dr Organic in H&B, it's a very good range.
