I have a sample of the 'effaclar duo' - I know it's for greasy skin (check!) but I'm not sure how to use it, it says apply once or twice day bit do I use it instead of moisturiser? Or as a cleanser? Is it effective on its own or do I need to start some sort of 'routine' with other products?
I've never had a routine beyond plain water, moisturiser and baby wipes to remove eye make up- but now my skin has suddenly turned greasy and spotty and I need to do something about it!

I cleanse, tone, Efficlar duo (am), and then moisturise. PM I might use Philosophy 'When hope is not enough' instead

Might seem a lot of faff, if you say you've never been one for a routine but MY skin is a painful wreck at the moment Sad Recently found the Caroline Hiron's skincare blog, and have been converted

Thanks for replying, what does 'toning' do?
So you use the effalcar duo and a moisturiser? I have found my skin feel quite moisturised with it on its own. I have been washing my face with a Sebamed bar (another free sample!) then using the effaclar duo in the evening.

I'll have a look at that blog too, thanks :)
