Hair dilemma !!

My hair is dark brown and even though I quite like it I'd quite like a change and to get it a few shades lighter to a warm brunette chestnutty colour and was wondering if this would be achievable by full head of highlights with a toner over? Has anyone done this and what did it look like?

You could do this yourself with good results. You need to lighten you hair all over with a prelightner. Don't leave it on too long so that it starts to turn vivid orange- take it off when you achieve a red brown (on mine it takes 10 mins max) then go over it with a warm brown. It will look really sparkly due to the hair being lightened. Loreal I think is the best brand. I like preference chestnut or the one I had good results with yesterday, Excellence sun kissed auburn. It turns out darker than the box but definitely a mid warm brown.

Country colours are pretty reliable too to add a gloss to hair if you want it to pull redder.

Thank you so much. That sounds quite simple. I've bought a highlights kit and going to get the colour you mentioned and will give it a whirl.
