Does anyone know why it is not recommended to use IPL when pregnant or breastfeeding - is it just precautionary? I'm breastfeeding but want to start...

I think it's one if those things that you would never be able to get a test group so no-one knows if it could do any harm ifykwim?? I have the lumea which is fantastic used it while still bf dc2 though he was 15 months so fully weaned and had cows milk whilst I was at work etc. dc3 is 7 months abd I don't feel happy to start using it again yet. Silly maybe but my underarms but too close to boobs just going to wait bit longer Grin

doesn't do any harm. the reason it's not recommended when pregnant or breastfeeding is because the hormone changes can affect hair growth so worst case scenario is that it wouldn't be as effective and once you stop breastfeeding some hair may grow back. i did it whilst breastfeeding and some hair has grown back (maybe it would have anyway though i don't know) still worth doing imo.

Ok thanks. I would probably avoid underarms then until is finished bf...
