Stylish, warm, classic coat

My parents have kindly offered to buy a coat for Christmas. I thought I'd take the opportunity to get a coat which will last for years. The budget is around £100-£200.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm 5'3" and a bit podgy (size 14) so don't think a belt would suit me. I'm also very lazy so tend to grab the first thing to come to hand so this would have to do me for trips to the pub, to the shops, football, to the park, to work. So it has to be warm. I like the idea of classic British designs but am not keen on quilted coats and think Barbour nay be out of my price range. I'm late 30s if that makes any difference!

Thanks! Grin

There are some Barbour jackets for £200ish or just over. Have a look on the website

Thanks Ggirl and Ms23, much appreciated. Browsing with interest now!

I hot this one from Hobbs. It is very dark navy and 80% wool.

Ot still within your budget (just!), they have this one, which is longer and black.

Don't put yourself down Rat, I'm sure you are very hot! Pea coars seem to be the way forward......

Grin 80% wool certainly keeps me warm!

If you're a bit podgy then double-breasted is a bit of a no-no. Go for single breasted to give a slimmer line. I've got this coat (being podgy too) and it's very flattering. I realise you have a higher budget than this, but I think they style would work.
