Can anybody tell me the difference between BB and CC creams? Are there any brands better than others for somebody with pale skin and bright red dyed hair? Any advice would be great Grin

BB is more of the tinted moisturiser / foundation family and CC cream actually has skin benefits, like anti-ageing. I think that is it!

Ah thanks. Do you know if the bb they are good at covering ?

Aren't CC creams complexion correctors, i.e. those green/apricot/mauve toned bases for under foundation that have been around for ever, just relaunched with a sexy new name?

I await DD creams with anticipation (actually, if they can lift me from a B cup I might buy some).

I've used both & much prefer the CC cream -

I use the Olay one & love it as its very light in texture, but covers well without feeling like you are wearing anything more than a good moisturiser - I'm also old & it does wonders for my skin in general :)

But least we forget primers!

My understanding is that the bb beauty balm cream is a moisturizer plus a serum. The cc colour corrector cream also has a tint in it so it almost a light foundation as well.

I use Olay cc cream and love it.

If you Google Lisa Eldridge she has a utube video which explains - sorry I can't link!

Thanks for all your replies.
So do you wear the BB cream alone and the CC cream under foundation?

I wore the BB cream under foundation or instead, depending on whether I wanted to look made up or not, but it was fine on its own if I pretty much wanted to go make up free, not much so otherwise.

I use the CC cream instead of foundation & find it is great fir everyday wear & even evening, unless I'm going out properly & want a heavier make up look, in which case I will touch it up with covering cream or foundation.

Thanks Rockinhippy.
