Help with foundation please

I need a new foundation so I was hoping for some advice.

I have pale skin with pink tones and dark hair so I need a range that can suit this. My main problem is with it staying on especially because my nose gets quite greasy after a while and becomes shiny. Would a powder foundation be better for this? Any help or recommendations appreciated.

I only really have a Boots to go to and don't want anything too pricey.

Thanks.

Out of all the foundations that Boots sell, I think Max Factor is the best brand to go for. (although I have heard good things about their own brand foundations but not tried them).

I think you should go for something like max factor's facefinity compact or liquid foundation which has good staying power and is designed for skin that is prone to becoming shiny/oily. Or there is a cheaper one (I think it costs less!) called lastingperformance (really does not budge) or else the whipped creme foundation. They all come in a 'fair' shade which I think would suit your skintone.

Personally, I use their colour adapt foundation for my fair skin but my skin has a tendency to become dry so probably not the right one for you.

Thank you for replying, I've left it to the last minute, I'm going out tomorrow night so was hoping someone would reply quickly. I'll have a look tomorrow at the ones you suggested, the lasting performance one sounds good so I'll have a little test.
Thanks again.

just had a look at Maybelline ones (I know Boots sell them too).

they have superstay24hr foundation/dream matte mousse/fit me in ivory or classic ivory, might be worth a try?

hope you find something to suit for your night out!

Boots no7 have a really good colour match system and their foundations are very good. Some Boots have a Chanel and their foundations are excellent too.

I wear boots No7 stay perfect foundation with a dusting of translucent powder over the top every day for work. Doesn't look cakey (in my opinion, although I do put it on in the dark Grin) and stays on all day. Their machine thingy to tell you the colour is good too.

Me too otherwise I'll look my usual blotchy self. I suppose I'll just have to go and see what colours match for the ones suggested and hopefully remember to rub all of the random lines off my face before I leave the shop!
Thanks for replies.

Machine thingy sounds good, takes the guess work out. I suppose I'll try and find an honest looking sales person to help me, sometimes I think people are too polite to tell you something looks awful though.

I wear L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation and have done for a few years. The blend is great for me as I have patchy uneven skin.

I avoid long lasting foundation tbh. I used somme once and dropped in the bathroom sink. It took some VIM (!!) To get it off!
