origins ? what would you recommend ?

about to order something from origins as a present for someone else but i may be tempted to treat myself ! is it any good ? what would be nice ?

I love origins, their ginger range is fab, also some lovely cleansers and moisturisers. I really like Never a Dull Moment cleanser and GinZing moisturiser and eye cream, also their Drink Up overnight hydration mask works miracles!

The 'Never A Dull Moment' exfoliator is an absolute must. It works wonders and smells incredible. Agree about the ginger range too!

The Andrew Weil mushroom range is quite nice. Smells divine and good for anti-redness, calming etc. Whenever I wear it (not often), it reminds me of having a beauty treatment - all those lovely smells!

Their charcoal mask is v good - Clear Improvement. I also like their Drink Up Intensive overnight mask.

I've tried a couple of eye creams from them (gin zing & plantscription). Neither set me alight. I like the light reflecting properties of the Gin Zing but it wasn't v moisturising, nice as a day eye cream. Plantscription was meh.

I prefer Kiehl's Avocado eye cream for moisturisation, I like a heavier, creamier consistency.

I've got the Night-a-mins resurfacing overnight moisturiser. I'm not overly keen. That's a miss for me. Too fragranced (smells too strongly of oranges) and I find I get a spotty reaction to it. I like the texture though, light and cooling.

Checks and balances face wash, vita zing is nice but as mentioned, not that moisturising. It gives a nice glow though. I use a face oil underneath. I really like the smell of night-a-mins night cream but I can see that some might find it overpowering. Yeah, the eye creams are underwhelming. I prefer the Aldi one!

The grapefruit body range is divine and the amazing moisturiser that changes colour to match your skin tone is brilliant (though I am too pale and it doesn't match mine )

I love the Vita Zing tinted moisturiser and I've been using their Perfect World (? not sure, but it's the SPF25 one) moisturiser for many years. The Checks & Balances face wash is good too I find.

plantscription stuff is great also the moisturising face mask which you put on overnight

I also like the charcoal mask, not so keen on checks and balances, find it too harsh for my skin. OP - make the most of the freebies origins offers so you can try things out!

I recommend that you don't buy anything from Origins. The range attracts a lot of criticism for including irritating ingredients (essential oils etc).

Ginzing eye cream is the best eye cream I've ever used!

Ginger bubble bath, fabulous stuff. Andnot too girly so DH will share a bath with me!

I don't know about the body stuff but for face stuff I'd disagree with financeprincess as I have very sensitive skin and origins (dr weil and plantscription) is the only thing I can use which calms it right down and no breakouts/ rosacea etc
