Elizabeth - agree, black Malva conditioner was a revelation after years of dying my hair.

coffeeinbed · 01/12/2013 16:29

What does Black Malva do?

Eastwickwitch · 01/12/2013 16:39

REN glycolactic peel (recommended on S&B thread)
Babyliss big hair
Clarins hand cream
Clinique tube mascara (another S&B suggestion)

charitygirl · 01/12/2013 16:42

Currently (!) - Argan Oil. My hair is thick, dry, frizzy...and looking pretty amazing now.

ElizabethBathory · 01/12/2013 16:46

coffeeinbed Black malva is a shampoo and conditioner for brown to black hair (natural or dyed) - it gets rid of reddish or brassy tones, and depending on the colour you're starting with can make it deeper and richer-looking.

TallulahBetty · 01/12/2013 17:47

MUA fixing spray.
Rapidlash.

coffeeinbed · 01/12/2013 17:51

Body shop eyebrow make up, last really well and is very blendable.

By facecloths , do you just mean a traditional flannel?

TheSydenhamSet · 01/12/2013 18:33

Primark used to do this brilliant under eye concealer. Wish I'd bought tubes of it because it's been discontinued Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/12/2013 19:20

Yep, just normal flannel.

I got mine £1 each in John Lewis special offers on their website last week. I use a fresh one for morning and another for evening.

cloggal · 01/12/2013 19:22

Wondering too about the facecloths! Dermaflannels or something similar maybe?

cloggal · 01/12/2013 19:23

X post fluffy! Thanks :)

anotetofollowso · 01/12/2013 19:25

Burt's Bees lip balm - both the plain one for conditioning and the coloured ones for lovely, natural lip colour that doesn't give that caked on lipstick look.

Yes, where ARE you all getting your Retin-A from?

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/12/2013 19:37

Retin A

eBay. Or the gp or a dermatologist.

I suspect a lot of us use eBay though. You can't mess about with it though, no deviating from the instructions or getting pg.

Fuckitthatlldo · 01/12/2013 19:39

Retin-A is actually just a brand name that has become synonymous with the active ingredient tretinoin (kind of like Kleenex has come to mean tissue and hoover has come to mean suction cleaner.) Any tretinoin cream or gel will produce exactly the same results and generic versions are a lot cheaper.

I buy generic tretinoin cream at 0.5% from Alldaychemist.com. They're reliable, the products are genuine and cheap, plus you don't need a prescription.

Crutchlow35 · 01/12/2013 20:37

What is retin a

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/12/2013 20:41

Vitamin a, in cream or tablets. Effective but toxic in pg.

That's a simplistic explanation. I think in the uk it's only available in tablets from the consultant and cream off the gp.

Worryingly I've seen the tablets on amazon for £150.
