Cruise clothes

Really excited to be going on a 12 night cruise to Scandanavia next summer but need advice on clothes for the evening. Done seven night trips before and got away with bringing one maxi dress for the one formal night and wearing linen trousers and a couple of floaty silk tops the other nights. Can anyone suggest where I can get bargain comfy light-to-pack dresses which might double for day to evening. I'm 40plus, size 8, fair, 5'2, and like fit-and-flare shapes preferably natural fibres. Just want to get it sorted so I don't have to flap nearer the time. Any advice re accessories etc would be appreciated too.

For cheap gear matalan, primark and peacocks are good....would do much better looking in mar/apr than now which gives ample time to get stuff before the holiday in the summer...natural fibres always tend to be more expensive but if you are lucky she might get at places mentioned

In terms of day to night it's the accessories which will dictate what is day and what is night wear with the same item,,, ie flipflops/ballet pumps for day and wedges or heels for evening...some jewellery or scarves and clutch bag will jazz up the most simple dress which for day could be worn with flats, sunhat and large tote/ beachbag type ...

For colours if you are fair then muted shades of purples, pinks, blues would be great

Thank you! Great advice about the accessories, it really clarifies things. I'll see if I can pick up some sparkly stuff in the Monsoon sale after Christmas, and then look out for some long shift shape dresses to float about in. just want to be 'appropriate' really! Thanks
