I have really sensitive skin and eyes and seem to be allergic to most mascaras Sad Sad not good as I have terrible eye lashes that are half blonde Angry Angry can anyone recommend a good mascara that might work for me please?

I use Clinique high lengths mascara, it washes off which suits me as eye make up remover is usually too oily for my sensitive eyes. I also use Swiss-O-Par eyelash dye, which is pretty fiddly but as my eyelash roots are blonde seems to turn out better than when I get it done professionally as they don't always get the dye right to the roots.

Boots' sensitive one. Perfectly fine mascara and not artificial scent or itchiness.

I really like Bourjois care mascara for this. Doesn't cost the earth and is great for sensitive eyes. Added bonus is that it also gives amazing lashes!

This stuff from Clinique is the only thing I can put near my eyes, everything bugs my eyes. It's not cheap but once it's on it seems to turn into almost a plastic coating for your lashes so it doesn't rub off either and I am a terrible fidgeter with my face but it doesn't give me panda eyes.

Another vote for clinique!

Have you thought of getting your eyelashes tinted? not sure how that would work with sensitive eyes but you could ask a qualified beautician?

fifitrixibell · 28/11/2013 07:22

Thanks for the replies. Ms23 I have had my eyebrows tinted before and had an allergic reaction to the dye so wouldn't risk it with my eyelashes. I'll look into the clinique one, thanks.

Clinique mascaras make my eyes sting - I don't know what it is about them! Most of the cheaper ones inc Boots No 7. and organic "natural" ones made my eyes water. I use the Dior Iconic ones at the moment with no irritation after doing a mascara hunt last yr (I wear contacts and for a while it seemed every mascara I tried flaked and/or irritated).
